Follow specified assembly methods; make designated fits to ordinary tolerances using hand and power tools. Assemble mating parts in assembly, adjust and align parts for free working and proper clearance, Make operating tests and final adjustments. Summary of duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assembler III:

SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles a variety of subassemblies and bench or floor complete units having light to average weight parts. Select assembly method and procedure. Fit parts to close tolerances and operating requirements involving use of hand and power tool.. Accurately align subassemblies to unit. Assemble mating parts, mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment. Make operating tests and final adjustments. Products are less intricate. Assist in the erection of medium / large units. Ability to read detailed assembly drawings.

Tend fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, grinders, welders, and deburring machines that punch, cut, shape and bend metal plates and sheets.

Set up and tend fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, grinders, welders, and deburring machines that punch, cut, shape and bend metal plates and sheets.

Shipping Receiving

SUMMARY

Inspect, pack, verify and document quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing shipments. Test cable assemblies, subassemblies and components for functionality and verify conformance to specification, Loads, unloads, and moves materials within plant. Uses UPS/Federal express online shipping software to process outgoing orders.

Buffer / Polisher

SUMMARY

Grind, polish, glaze and buff a wide variety of production parts including parts that have an unusual and intricate shape or design, requiring considerable care to maintain contours, radii and close dimensions. Obtain even color buff on high grade plated work castings. Plan operation sequences, select wheels, belts, discs, abrasives and dressings. Build up, glues, surface, dress and balance various kinds of wheels.

Maintenance

SUMMARY

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments
